SUPPORTING
THE WHOLE STUDENT
At Ashley Hall, student wellness is an essential part of the experience—because girls thrive when they feel supported, balanced, and known. Our comprehensive approach nurtures emotional, social, and physical well-being through strong relationships, intentional programming, and a culture of care.
From mindfulness and movement to counseling and community connection, students build the self-awareness and healthy habits they need to succeed in school and in life. Dedicated time within the academic day ensures space for reflection, conversation, and connection—so every student has the support she needs to navigate challenges with confidence.
For families, this means knowing that your daughter is not only achieving academically but also growing into a resilient, grounded, and self-assured young woman.
Wellness at Every Stage:
| Lower School (Kindergarten–Grade 4) |

Our specialized wellness program features classes designed to build character through the creative use of the IB Learner Profile and support the top three social and emotional needs of girls in this developmental stage:
A full-time counselor serves on the Lower School faculty and offers individualilzed attention to the social and emotional needs of each student. Partnering with families as much as possible is a very important tenet of our program. Our girls are best supported when we work together as a team. |
| MIDDLE SCHOOL (Grades 5–8) |
|
Because of the transformative nature of early adolescence, the Middle School purposely addresses each girl's well-being as a whole. Weekly wellness classes are taught by our full-time counselor who offers individualized attention to our students' social and emotional needs inside and outside the classroom. The curriculum is designed so that girls get a higher level of age-appropriate instruction each year on the following topics:
|
| UPPER SCHOOL (Grades 9–12) |
|
In the Upper School, wellness is a priority—especially during a time when students are navigating identity, relationships, and increasing academic pressure. Through a required wellness course, students explore their values, reflect on who they are becoming, and build essential life skills, including:
With a dedicated team of counselors on campus, students have consistent, accessible support as they face the challenges of adolescence and the college process. For families, this means knowing your daughter is guided, supported, and equipped to care for her mental health while growing into a confident, self-aware young woman. |
