Student Government | Student Government at Ashley Hall empowers students to lead with purpose, represent their peers, and shape the life of the School. Through elected and appointed roles, students collaborate with faculty and administrators to plan events, support initiatives, and strengthen community connections Student Ambassadors | The Ashley Hall Student Ambassadors is a high-profile student group that develops leadership skills by supporting the offices of Admission, Advancement, Marketing, and Student Affairs. To serve as a Student Ambassador, students complete an extensive application process for consideration for the following school year. Honor Council | Comprised of student leaders, the Honor Council works in partnership with faculty and administration to educate the community about the Honor Code and to support a fair and thoughtful process when questions of academic or personal integrity arise. Through this work, students develop a strong ethical foundation and a deep sense of responsibility to themselves and their community. Offshore Leadership Project | Ashley Hall’s signature Offshore Leadership Program blends academic study with hands-on leadership at sea, inspired by Charleston’s rich maritime heritage. Students deepen their understanding of themselves through classroom exploration and self-reflective writing before embarking on a transformative two-week sailing voyage from St. Croix to Charleston. Working together to navigate and maintain the vessel, they build resilience, confidence, and a lasting connection to the natural world. |

Middle School (Grades 5–8) |

Morning Meetings | Middle School students take the lead in running their own daily Morning Meeting, building confidence as they prepare announcements, highlight upcoming activities, and celebrate one another’s accomplishments. It’s an energizing start to the day that fosters leadership, community, and school spirit. Student Government | Student Government at Ashley Hall empowers students to lead with purpose, represent their peers, and shape the life of the School. Through elected and appointed roles, students collaborate with faculty and administrators to plan events, support initiatives, and strengthen community connections. House Competitions | All fifth and sixth graders take part in House Competitions, joining teams for weekly challenges that build camaraderie, school spirit, and friendly competition. From service projects to relay races, students earn points throughout the year. |

Lower School (K–Grade 4) |
|
LoDome Leaders | Fourth-grade students are responsible for running Lower School’s weekly Assemblies. They put announcements together, handle programming, and take the stage to share information. It's a wonderful opportunity to practice leadership and public speaking skills and build confidence. Book Buddies | In second grade, students are paired with a kindergarten "Book Buddy", creating meaningful connections through shared reading and everyday experiences. Second graders help their younger buddies build confidence and adjust to Lower School life, whether sitting together in Assembly or playing at recess. These relationships foster a strong sense of community while strengthening reading skills for both students. Green Team | Dedicated members of the Green Team lead the weekly collection of recyclable materials in Pardue Hall, Ashley Hall’s Lower School building. Through this hands-on effort, students develop teamwork and environmental responsibility—an initiative they take great pride in. |

Big Sister & Little Sister Program
One of Ashley Hall's most cherished traditions, the Big Sister + Little Sister program fosters meaningful connections across grade levels and divisions. Beginning in kindergarten, students are paired with older mentors who provide friendship, encouragement, and support throughout their Ashley Hall journey. These relationships often grow into lifelong friendships, creating a community where every girl feels known, connected, and valued.
