`Dr. Anne T. Weston ’73`

Ashley Hall’s sixth Head of School and the only alumna to hold the position, Dr. Weston is a seasoned and respected educator. She brings a deep love for the School, strong communication skills, and a commitment to advancing opportunities for women and girls. Since joining Ashley Hall in 2015 as Assistant Head of School, Dr. Weston has served as Director of Upper School and was named Head of School in 2022.

Prior to Ashley Hall, Dr. Weston held a variety of leadership roles at Heathwood Hall Episcopal School in Columbia, including Interim Head of School. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Duke University and holds both a Master of Arts in Teaching and a doctorate from the University of South Carolina.

I believe I was called to this work—a calling that led me back to Ashley Hall, a place that first shaped me as a student. The School’s mission has remained steadfast: to develop students who are independent, ethically responsible, and prepared to meet the world with confidence. It is an honor to lead a school that shaped me, and I am committed to helping your child experience the same sense of belonging and growth.

Stewarding the School’s mission and working closely with the Head of School is a Board of Trustees composed of established leaders in education, business, and community service. The Board works to ensure that Ashley Hall continues to flourish and to exercise its counsel and energies in planning for the School’s immediate and long-range stability.
