At Ashley Hall, preparing for college and life beyond Ashley Hall is an important part of the curriculum for all students. Focused on helping each student find the college where she will thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, the college counseling process begins in ninth grade and emphasizes self-discovery throughout.

A Four-Year Approach
Through a personalized, four-year approach, Ashley Hall’s College Counseling Program helps girls explore possibilities and pursue futures that reflect who they are and who they are becoming.
| Ninth & Tenth Grades |

Students are introduced to the College Counseling Office and process, including SCOIR, a college application and planning tool. In the spring semester, parents are invited to personalized question-and-answer coffees. |
| Eleventh Grade |

Students begin honing in on schools of interest. They will start meeting individually with the college counselor to begin exploring colleges that fit their interests. An informative session is held in the fall for juniors and parents. |
| Twelfth Grade |
|
All seniors are enrolled in a dedicated Senior Seminar class in the fall semester. The course addresses all aspects of the college application process, as well as gap years and other options. The College Counseling Office works closely with students and parents in this important life decision. |
Like most parents, we were expecting lots of stress when our daughters began the college application process. Luckily, Ashley Hall's College Counseling Department provided around-the-clock guidance and emotional support and ensured our daughters were never overwhelmed. They were both kept on schedule and encouraged to search for colleges that would be the best fit.
