(Please note: no classes are scheduled on this day.)
Come learn with us!
Join fellow early childhood educators for Ashley Hall’s Educator Exchange Day, a professional learning experience designed to inspire collaboration, spark new ideas, and encourage the exchange of research and best practices in early childhood education. Hosted in Ashley Hall’s Reggio-inspired Early School, these sessions are tailored for educators working with children ages two to four.
Fee: $100.00 per participant, including lunch
What Participants Will Leave With
A New Image of the Child
Participants will deepen their understanding of children as capable, competent, and full of ideas. Children are not passive recipients of knowledge, but active constructors of meaning.
A Constructivist Lens
Educators will leave able to see children as researchers of their own world, making sense of experiences through inquiry, relationships, and exploration.
Transferable Practices
Participants will gain practical approaches they can immediately apply, including:
- Designing meaningful provocations
- Documenting children’s thinking through video, photos, dialogue, and reflection
- Listening with intention to guide next steps in learning
A Lived Experience of Inquiry
Through hands-on engagement and presentations by Ashley Hall educators, participants will experience learning as children do, through curiosity, collaboration, and open-ended exploration. This embodied understanding is essential for shifting practice.
This day offers an exchange of ideas, perspectives, and practices grounded in respect for children and the belief that learning is a dynamic, collaborative process.
Participants are invited to leave not with a checklist of activities, but with a shift in perspective, one that honors curiosity, values process, and sees learning as a shared journey between child and educator.
We look forward to having you on campus.
