  • Upper School Awards Ceremony | The Upper School Awards Ceremony will be held in Davies Auditorium and begin at 2 p.m. All seniors are expected to attend, and students are expected to wear their dress uniforms. • Seniors must arrive at Grace Church Cathedral by 6 p.m. and report to the Fellowship Hall at the corner of Wentworth and Glebe Streets. Appropriate white dresses and white shoes are required. If a student has chosen a strapless dress, she is asked to cover it with a sweater or a covering while in the church.
Dinner reservations should not be made before 8:30 p.m.

Sunday, May 24

  • Commencement will begin at 6:30 p.m. on the Senior Lawn of Ashley Hall.
  • Seniors must report to the McBee House by 4:30 p.m. They should be fully dressed and ready, with hair and makeup completed. Group pictures will be taken at 5 p.m.
  • The Ashley Hall campus will open to guests, including parents, at 5:45 p.m. Guests must use the Smith Street entrance. The campus will not be open to guests, other than graduates, before that time. Guests are asked to proceed directly to their seats upon arrival. McBee House will not be open to family members.
  • All senior families are given six grouped seats. These reserved seats have been assigned per family using a “double-blind” random process: a graduate’s name was drawn, and a seat block was selected, thereby pairing the graduate with a seat. Here is a document with each family’s seating assignment. The reserved seats will have your graduate’s full name on them and will be held until your arrival. Ushers will help you locate your reserved seating. If you don’t need all your seats, please let us know.

Please also let us know if you have a family member who needs that assistance so that we may be best prepared. Guests will be asked to leave any larger bags in the Smith Street office or return them to their cars.
