Ashley Hall After School (AHAS) provides students of all ages with amazing opportunities after the school day ends, including youth sports, enrichment classes, swim lessons, private music lessons, and more.

CUBS Youth Sports | Pre-Kindergarten - Grade 4

Fall Session One (September 8–October 2)

CUBS provides an athletic experience through fun, engaging activities that build foundational athletic skills and inspre a lifelong love of movement and healthy play. We aim to create a spark that encourages students to continue participating in sports beyond this program—both off campus and through future opportunities at Ashley Hall.

Fee: $140 | Four Weeks

Pre-K: 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Build your child’s confidence in the water with Ashley Hall’s amazing aquatics program instructors Missee Fox and Cassidy Rindge. Please be aware that lessons are based on swim skill levels, and the time slot you select is subject to change based on the instructors’ evaluation.

This session takes place three days in a row to strengthen students’ swimming skills. All Early School students mut be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the lesson.

Week Two | December 8-10 |  3 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 4 p.m., and 4:30 p.m.

Dance | Kindergarten – Grade 12

August 25–November 17 (Grades 3 – 12) | September 8 – November 17 (Kindergarden–Grade 2)

Offered to students in kindergarten through twelfth grade, the after-school dance program at Ashley Hall provides opportunities for students to hone their skills as they progress through various levels. For students who are in kindergarten through second grade, classes will focus on technique, skill, and creativity through the study of classical ballet. Courses for students ranging from third grade through twelfth will also include instruction in jazz. 

PLEASE NOTE: Performance opportunities, including the spring showcase, are only available to third through twelfth graders who sign up for BOTH the fall and spring semesters.

Fall 2025 Club Offerings

Art & Nature Club | Students will make lots of fun crafts using natural objects, such as plants, flowers, rocks, shells, and more. In addition to making these fun crafts, we will also learn some very cool facts about the objects we are using.

Bee Club | The Bee Club will explore the world of bees through a hands-on, experiential learning opportunity to connect with the natural world and understand the bee’s critical impact on the ecosystem.

Jewelry Making Club: Students will make many unique jewelry pieces, a jewelry box, and other accessories. We will learn how to make our own beads, assemble jewelry using pliers, and learn the basics of jewelry making.

Marine Science Club: Ocean explorers dive into the ocean’s wonders with our Marine Science Club, a fun and educational adventure designed for young explorers fascinated by the sea. This program provides an engaging introduction to marine science through hands-on activities, interactive learning, art projects, and more! Embark on a journey through various marine environments, from coral reefs to deep-sea trenches. Learn about different ocean zones, the unique creatures that inhabit them, and the crucial roles they play in marine ecosystems.

Mahjong 101 | Ready to play a fun game that’s full of cool tiles, patterns, and problem solving skills? In this beginner-friendly class, kids will learn how to play American Mahjong, a traditional game that’s been loved for generations around the world! We’ll explore the colorful tiles, learn how to match and build winning hands, and practice playing in small groups. We will be using a beginner card perfect for anyone new to the game. This class is all about learning through fun and teamwork—no experience needed! All materials provided. 

Mahjong 102 |  Already know the basics of American Mahjong and ready to take your game to the next level? In Mahjong 102, we’ll go beyond beginner rules and dive into strategies and more complex hands to help you become a more confident and competitive player. All materials provided 

Zoology  | Whether your child dreams of becoming a zoologist or simply loves animals, Zoology Club offers an educational experience that nurtures curiosity and appreciation for the natural world.This class is designed to inspire a love for wildlife through interactive learning and discovery. Join us on this wild adventure! 

 

Extended Day | Early School - Grade 8

Fall Semester (August 19 – December 18)

Join us for the fall semester in our after-school care program. Students enjoy a daily snack, dedicated homework time, supervised free paly, and care until 6:00 p.m.

Early School | 5 Day Attendance: $1,875*
Kindergarten – Grade 8 | One Day Per Week Attendance: $350
Drop-In Rate: $35/day

*New this  Year: Due to high demand and DSS ration requirement, we are only able to offer a five-day-a-week Extended Day option for Early School families. Thank you for your understanding. 

 

Private Music Lessons | Ages 5 -18

Fall Semester (August 25 - December 18)

Serving Ashley Hall and the greater Charleston community, the private lesson program offers music instruction and performance opportunities to students of all levels, ages 5 through 18. Lessons are offered in piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar, voice, music theory, and composition.

Where do I register?

Ashley Hall After School registration is now hosted on CampBrain.

Ashley Hall families please acces your account via the Learning Commons. You do not need to create an account.

Non Ashley Hall families will need to create an account or log in at ashleyhall.campbrainregistraion.com.

 

My child was waitlisted, what do I do?

Each program director will compile the list of registered students and ensure that each child is placed in the appropriate group. Once groups are finalized, any spaces made available will be opened to the waitlist in the order the child(ren) were registered.

When is payment due for all AHAS programming?

All fees for Ashley Hall After School programs are now due in full upon registration. This includes Extended Day, swimming, enrichment classes, private lessons, CUBS, and dance.

Registration will be managed through CampBrain. Ashley Hall families please access your account via the Learning Commons. You do not need to create an account.

Can I be issued a refund for a session?

There are no refunds for any session once registration is completed. Credits for future programming may be considered upon written request; however, all final decisions are up to the discretion of the School. Please note that missed classes are non-refundable and cannot be prorated. Credits will not be issed for sessions scheduled to begin within two (2) weeks of the request day.

Do I need Extended Day care?

All Early School students who plan to stay after school must register for Extended Day. The only exception is CUBS after-school program which starts immediately after dismissal.
 
All K-8 students who plan to stay after school must register for Extended Day. Those students enrolled in an AHAS session that starts between 3-4:00 p.m. do not need to enroll in Extended Day as long as they are picked up directly at the conclusion of their AHAS programming and do not return to Extended Day.
Please note that the School reserves the right to deny Extended Day services to any student who is unwilling to cooperate fully with the director, staff, and fellow participants.
