Early School Day Camps

Get ready for a summer of exploration and hands-on learning. Ashley Hall’s Summer Camp offers a selection of high-energy activities for children in current primary (4-year-old) and pre-kindergarten grades to explore their world through swimming, arts and crafts, sports, and special events. Weekly themes allow campers to immerse themselves in creativity while exploring the world around them. Each session is led by trained educators, experienced counselors, and certified lifeguards to provide expertise in an engaging and safe learning environment. The camp fee includes a hot lunch, healthy snacks, and weekly swimming.

Wonder Atelier
Rooted in the Reggio Emilia approach, this camp is designed as an atelier—a studio where children explore open-ended materials, nature, light, color, and texture through hands-on discovery. From painting and drawing to printmaking and collage, your child will explore a variety of mediums to express their ideas and bring them to life!   

Wiggle and Giggle
Get ready to wiggle, jump, and move like never before at Wiggle and Giggle camp! This dynamic, action-packed camp is about getting kids up, active, and having fun through dance, sports, and other movement-based activities. It encourages physical fitness, creativity, and teamwork while having a blast in a supportive, high-energy environment.

Ooey Gooey
Messy and sensory play supports creativity, social-emotional development, physical, and cognitive skills. Join us for a week of joyful hands-on exploration, and all the ooey-gooey fun your child can imagine! This camp is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and engage all five senses through playful, interactive experiences. From squishing slime and sculpting with foam to splattering paint, exploring water play, and digging into nature-inspired sensory bins, every activity encourages creativity, problem-solving, and open-ended discovery.

Music Camp
Welcome to Music Camp — a joyful, engaging, and interactive camp! This camp introduces young children to the world of music in a playful, hands-on way, helping them develop a love for rhythm, melody, and sound while boosting their creativity, motor skills, and social interactions. Every day is an adventure where children can explore different aspects of music through singing, dancing, playing instruments, and engaging in fun activities that foster their natural curiosity and imagination.

Underwater Explorers
Dive into a week of ocean-themed fun at our Underwater Explorers Camp! Campers will splash into imaginative play as they discover colorful sea creatures, create ocean-inspired crafts, sing songs, and enjoy hands-on sensory activities. Each day brings a new underwater adventure designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and lots of giggles.

Calling all future paleontologists! Discover the wonders of the prehistoric world and relish all things dinosaurs! Campers learn about these fascinating creatures through storytelling, music, dance, art, and other play activities before participating in their own archaeological dig.

Girls Day Camp

Designed just for girls currently in kindergarten and first grade, Ashley Hall’s Girls Day Camp offers girls the opportunity to explore dance, music, drama, weekly swimming, arts and crafts, sports, and special events. Each session is led by trained educators, experienced counselors, and certified lifeguards to provide expertise in an engaging and safe learning environment. Join us for a magical week of creativity with beads. Campers will explore color, pattern, and imagination as they create their own beaded jewelry, keychains, crafts, and more. Each day features hands-on projects, playful activities, and plenty of sparkle.

Emerging Authors (Girls, grades Kindergarten & 1)
Our Emerging Authors week-long camp invites students to explore the joy of storytelling by diving into beloved children’s books and using them as creative inspiration. Each day, campers read and discuss anchor texts to notice how real authors build characters, shape plots, and use illustrations to bring ideas to life. Guided by fun mini-lessons and hands-on activities, students then plan, write, and revise their own original stories. By the end of the week, each young author will have created a fully illustrated book to share with families, celebrating imagination, confidence, and the excitement of becoming a writer.

Circus Arts (Boys, Kindergarten & 1)
Circus Arts involves both physical and theatrical skills. Through movement and improvisational games, children will explore and improve balance and coordination, learn basic juggling skills, and hone their performance skills, all while having fun in a safe and supportive environment! This session will be taught by Matt Gravity, a local juggler with over 25 years of experience performing and teaching.

American Girl Dolls (Girls grades Kindergarten & 1)
Welcome to American Girl Doll Summer Camp, a week filled with imagination, creativity, and memorable adventures for campers and their favorite dolls! Each day features a special themed celebration—complete with hands-on crafts and exciting activities that bring the world of American Girl to life. Campers will explore friendship, creativity, and confidence as they create mini accessories, play games, and enjoy magical moments alongside their dolls. By the end of camp, each child will have a collection of handmade treasures, new friendships, and wonderful memories shared with their doll. Join us for a summer adventure where imagination shines and every day is a party!

Nature Writing (Girls, grades Kindergarten & 1)
Nature Writing invites young campers to explore their curiosity and creativity through playful poetry and nature-inspired writing. Each day, we’ll spend time journaling, trying out short stories, and reflecting on the world around us. Together, we’ll discover how writing connects to nature, animals, and art. We’ll wrap up the session with a fun “publishing party,” where campers can share their illustrated poems with friends.

World’s Most Venomous Creatures (Co-ed grades Kindergarten & 1)
Are you the type of kid who actually likes spiders? Are fangs fascinating? This cool and unique camp will explore the world’s most dangerous and venomous creatures alive. From the Box Jellyfish to the innocent-looking tree frog, small creatures can pack a big punch.

Soccer Stars (Girls, grades Kindergarten & 1)
Get ready to run, kick, giggle, and play! This soccer camp is all about fun, movement, and confidence-building in a positive, encouraging environment. Each day, campers will learn basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork through games, relays, and imaginative activities, using drills that feel more like play than practice, including obstacle courses, fun challenges, and friendly mini-games. Beyond soccer, the focus is on helping children build confidence, make new friends, practice listening skills, and enjoy being active. No prior experience is needed—just comfy shoes, a big smile, and lots of energy!

Young Chefs (Girls, grades Kindergarten & 1)
Young Chefs camp is a fun, hands-on culinary adventure designed to spark creativity and confidence in young chefs as they learn essential kitchen skills—like measuring, mixing, safe chopping, and following simple recipes—while exploring new flavors and ingredients. Kids will prepare delicious, kid-friendly dishes from scratch, enjoy tasting their creations together, and pick up important lessons in nutrition, kitchen safety, and healthy eating habits. With a joyful, supportive environment that encourages teamwork, curiosity, and independence, this class invites every child to discover the excitement of cooking—no experience required, just enthusiasm, imagination, and a big appetite for fun!

Tie Dye (Co-ed grades Kindergarten & 1)
Get ready for a super fun and colorful week at Tie Dye Camp with artist Cat Brantley! In this hands-on, creative camp, we will explore the vibrant world of fabric dyeing with classic tie-dye, traditional indigo dyeing, and fabric collage to make unique, one-of-a-kind creations. 

Campers will learn ancient and modern techniques of fabric dyeing, using a variety of clips and blinds used in the traditional Japanese Shibori tie-dye methods. Campers will also experiment with indigo dye, a deep blue natural dye, to create stunning indigo pieces. We will have some fun experimenting with batik resist methods, and finish off with a vibrant fabric collage, layering different materials dyed throughout the week to make colorful, textured designs. 

Please provide a 100% cotton t-shirt in your child’s size for the tie-dye t-shirt, pre-washed in warm, soapy water and dried. All other materials will be provided.

Groove and Move Dance (Girls, grades Kindergarten & 1)
A week of rhythm, creativity, and high-energy fun! Step into a world of movement and music! Our Groove and Move Dance Camp gives campers the chance to explore different dance styles while building confidence, coordination, and creativity. Each day brings a new theme – from upbeat hip hop to expressive contemporary, cultural dance exploration, musical theater movement, and freestyle choreography challenges. Campers will stretch, learn new steps, play movement-based games, and work together to create short routines that celebrate their individuality and teamwork. With a focus on fun, skill-building, and artistic expression, this camp welcomes dancers of all experience levels. By the end of the week, dancers will shine with new techniques, new friends, and a stronger love for moving to the beat!

Marine Explorations (Girls, grades Kindergarten & 1)
Step into a classroom turned into an underwater world, full of colorful ocean decorations and fun surprises. Campers explore marine science at hands-on stations with tanks, microscopes, and sand-tray “beach labs” to study shells and sand. Interactive screens show real-time ocean data, ship tracking, and reef cams from around the world. They’ll explore, make observations in their journals, and team up to learn about ocean animals and how to protect their habitats.

Sports with Mr. Tim (Boys, grades Kindergarten & 1)
A beginner-friendly week introducing young athletes to a variety of sports. We will learn basic skills, teamwork, and confidence through fun games and engaging activities. Activities: Soccer Cone and Goal drills, Layup and Shooting Games, Capture the Flag, Hitting and Catching Baseballs, and volleying Tennis or Volleyballs.

Whether you’re a seasoned bead enthusiast or a first-time maker, this camp has something for everyone!

Wicked! With Ms. Matus (Girls grades 2-4)
Step into the Land of Oz for a spellbinding week at Wicked Summer Camp, where nothing is as it seems and every camper discovers the magic within themselves. Inspired by the beloved movie and musical Wicked, this camp invites kids to explore friendship, bravery, creativity, and the power of being uniquely YOU with a little magic from Glinda and Elphaba.

Our hands-on Science Explorers Camp invites campers to dive into a different branch of science each day through experiments, interactive challenges, and real-world investigations. From building, testing, observing, and creating, campers become actual scientists as they explore how the world works. Each day brings a new theme—whether it’s Earth science, life science, physical science, engineering, or mystery STEM challenges—and every activity encourages teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity. Campers will work with fundamental scientific tools, design models, make predictions, collect data, and reflect on their discoveries in fun and engaging ways. By the end of the week, young scientists will walk away with new skills, new confidence, and a BIG spark of scientific curiosity!

Chess (Co-ed grades 2-4)
Checkmate! Join us for a fun and engaging introduction to chess. Campers will learn the basics of strategy, problem-solving, and sportsmanship while sharpening their critical thinking skills. Whether you’re a beginner or already know a few moves, this camp is the perfect place to play, learn, and challenge friends in a friendly environment.

Lacrosse (Girls grades 2-4)
Get ready for an action-packed week of fun, friendship, and lacrosse! This camp is perfect for players of all experience levels—whether you’re picking up a stick for the first time or looking to sharpen your skills. Players will learn the fundamentals of lacrosse, including stick work, cradling, passing, catching, shooting, ground balls, and basic offensive and defensive concepts, all through small-sided games, team competitions, and fun challenges. Beyond skill-building, campers will enjoy team activities, confidence-boosting drills, and high-energy games that keep everyone moving, laughing, and supporting one another. By the end of the week, athletes will leave feeling more confident, more skilled, and excited to keep playing!

Young Artists (Girls grades 2-4)
Campers will dive into a colorful world of creativity as they explore art through a wide variety of materials and subjects. Each day brings a new opportunity to experiment — from classic art tools like paint, clay, and pastels to fun, unexpected materials that spark imagination. Young artists will create, play, and discover their unique artistic voice while building confidence and having tons of creative fun!

Sports with Mr. Tim (Boys grades 2-4)
An active week focused on developing athletic skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork. While bringing the same fun energy from the younger camp, this camp will work more on higher-level drills, practicing fundamentals, and enjoy friendly competition in a supportive environment. Activities: Basketball Dribbling and Passing, Athletic Awareness, Soccer Defense and Passing, Stealing and Runs in Baseball, Volleyball Games, and Friendly Competitions.

Young Theater (Girls grades 2-4)
Calling all energetic actors and set builders! Girls develop imagination and creativity through a variety of games and activities inspired by the world of theater. From acting and direction to stagecraft and costumes, all the world’s a stage this summer!

Tech Week with Mr. Tim (Co-ed grades 2-4)
Hands-on exploration of beginner tech concepts for both younger and older campers. Kids experiment with simple coding, creative digital projects, and problem-solving activities designed to spark curiosity and confidence in technology.  Activities: Coding with Scratch, Troubleshooting Challenges, Stop-Motion Creations, and maybe Building Circuits, and Digital Scavenger Hunts.

Grades Five – Eleven

Summer Robotics Course

June 8–26 (No camp June 19)

This three-week, intensive course (available to current eighth through eleventh-grade students) will delve into the world of robotics using Lego Mindstorms Kits, Mindstorms software, and Lego Robotic materials. Through hands-on activities, girls will learn to design, construct, program, and document autonomous robots. This course aims to ignite students’ interest in further computer science offerings in the Upper School and equip them with a solid foundation for future academic and career pursuits. Students earn 0.5 credits for successfully completing this course. Please note: This course will run only if there is an enrollment of 5 or more students. Students who miss more than two days of the course will not be eligible to earn academic credit.

Math Launch: Preparing for Sixth Grade

Math Launch is a weeklong summer program designed to help students review and strengthen essential math skills for success in sixth grade. Through engaging lessons, hands-on activities, and collaborative problem solving, students will revisit key concepts such as number operations, fractions, decimals, and basic problem-solving strategies.

This program provides a supportive environment where students can build confidence, refresh foundational skills, and develop positive math habits before the school year begins. By the end of the week, students will feel better prepared to tackle the challenges of sixth-grade math with greater understanding and confidence.

Math Launch: Prepared for Seventh Grade

Math Launch is a week-long summer program designed to help students review and strengthen the key math skills needed for success in seventh grade. Through engaging lessons, hands-on activities, and collaborative problem solving, students will revisit important concepts such as operations with fractions and decimals, ratios and proportions, and problem-solving strategies.

Students will also be introduced to basic algebra concepts, including working with variables, writing and solving simple equations, and recognizing patterns in mathematical relationships. This supportive program helps students refresh essential skills, build confidence, and develop strong mathematical thinking before the school year begins. By the end of the week, students will feel more prepared and motivated to take on the challenges of seventh-grade math.

Anatomy and Physiology (Week 1) Elective Course

Course Overview:
This week-long elective provides students with a foundational understanding of human anatomy and physiology, focusing on structural organization, body processes, and interrelationships among systems. Students will engage in labs, case studies, and projects to explore the human body in depth. Emphasis is placed on homeostasis, interdependence of systems, and scientific problem-solving.

Body Systems Covered:
Introduction: Levels of organization, anatomical terminology, and homeostasis
Integumentary System (skin, hair, nails)
Skeletal System (bones, joints)
Muscular System (muscle types, movement, energy use)
Nervous System (brain, spinal cord, nerves, reflexes)
Special Senses (vision, hearing, taste, smell, touch)

Course Overview:

The second week of Anatomy continues the exploration of the human body, emphasizing regulation, transport, and reproduction. Students will deepen their understanding of physiology through investigations, clinical simulations, and collaborative projects. Connections to health, disease, and medical careers will be highlighted.

Our Emerging Authors week-long camp invites students to explore the joy of storytelling by diving into beloved children’s books and using them as creative inspiration. Each day, campers read and discuss anchor texts to notice how real authors build characters, shape plots, and use illustrations to bring ideas to life. Guided by fun mini-lessons and hands-on activities, students then plan, write, and revise their own original stories. By the end of the week, each young author will have created a fully illustrated book to share with families, celebrating imagination, confidence, and the excitement of becoming a writer.

Basketball Camp

Dribble, shoot, and have fun at our Youth Basketball Camp! Under the direction of Ashley Hall, Varsity Basketball Coach, Josh Sallye, this camp is designed for players of all skill levels and helps young athletes learn the fundamentals of basketball in an exciting and supportive environment. Campers will work on ball-handling, shooting, passing, defense, and teamwork through age-appropriate drills and fun games. Players will build confidence, make new friends, and develop a lifelong love for the game.

Lacrosse Camp | Session One

Get ready to run, pass, and score at our Youth Lacrosse Camp! Under the direction of Ashley Hall, Varsity Lacrosse Coach, Madi Foti, this camp is designed especially for young players to learn the fundamentals of lacrosse while having a blast. Coaches will focus on stick skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship through age-appropriate drills, games, and challenges. In a positive and encouraging environment, players will build confidence, make new friends, and grow their love for the game—no matter their experience level.

Get faster, stronger, and more confident at our Speed & Agility Camp! Under the direction of Ashley Hall, Athletics Strength & Conditioning Trainer, Coach Beatrice Puiu, this program is designed for young athletes of all skill levels. The camp focuses on improving quickness, balance, coordination, and overall athletic movement. Through fun, age-appropriate drills, games, and challenges, campers will learn proper running mechanics, change of direction, and body control in a safe and encouraging environment. Perfect for athletes of any sport, this camp helps kids move better, compete harder, and have fun doing it.

Volleyball Camp | Session One

Ashley Hall Summer 2026 Music Lessons
June 2—July 24

Summer lessons are offered in instruments including violin, viola, cello, and piano. Voice lessons are not offered during the summer months. Registration will remain open all summer, and students must register for at least four classes. Lessons may be scheduled directly with the private lesson teacher and are flexible.

REGISTRATION:

Ashley Hall families may register for summer programs via the After School and Summer Programming Resource Board in the Learning Commons.

Registration Information

Registration is available online only.

Summer Programs Deadlines: Specialty camps must meet minimum camper registration requirements by April 13, 2026. If sessions do not meet the minimum by this date, families will be contacted and offered the option to switch to another specialty camp or receive a full refund.

Summer Programs Deposit: There will be a $125 non-refundable deposit per week of camp (or session) to secure your camper’s spot. All payments, minus the non-refundable deposit, are fully refundable until May 4, 2026.

Payment: All balances for summer programs must be paid in full by May 4, 2026. Campers who fail to meet this payment deadline risk losing their spot and deposits.

Refunds: There will be no refunds issued after May 4, 2026, unless there is a public health emergency or an individual medical emergency accompanied by a verifiable doctor’s note. Camps cannot be prorated for missed days during a camp week. Ashley Hall reserves the right to change the details of any camp.
