Ashley Hall is a jewel in the heart of downtown Charleston. But it’s not our historic buildings and oak-canopied grounds that make our campus so special. It’s our students. Programs

An Ashley Hall education reflects a thoughtful and developmentally appropriate approach to the teaching and learning process. Our program is designed to meet the needs of the individual student, recognizing and honoring how she learns best. You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown
a musical comedy based on the characters created by cartoonist Charles M. Shultz

Charles Schulz’s treasured comic comes to life in the classic musical, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Come spend a day in the life of the famous comic strip hero, Charlie Brown as he searches for what it means to be a good person, finding unexpected answers from his friends, Schroeder, Linus, Sally, Lucy and Snoopy. Whether you’re keen to fly with the Red Baron, moon over the Moonlight Sonata, or just do your best to find “Happiness,” You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown is a crowd-pleasing classic.

Children’s Fair | Saturday, October 10 at 1:00pm | Main Room of Lane Hall

Join us Saturday, October 10 at 1:00pm for a special Children’s Fair in the main room of Lane Hall. Games, music, face painting and photo opportunities with the Peanuts characters will be available for the entire family to enjoy.

Tickets for Charlie Brown are no longer for sale online and can be purchased at the door if available.

Joining volunteers taking action around the world, nearly 30 Intermediate Program students spent a recent Saturday morning combing the Charleston coastline for trash. An annual effort by the Ocean Conservancy, the International Coastal Cleanup focuses on keeping the world’s coastlines and oceans clean and sustainable for ocean life. The girls, along with parents and friends, worked diligently throughout the morning picking up and documenting the refuse that was found.

Did you know girls’ school students are more likely to pursue careers in engineering? Ashley Hall is helping pave the way with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) as an integral part of the Intermediate School curriculum. Our 5th grade girls designed an intelligent irrigation system to keep the campus flower beds in bloom all summer. An arduino micro chip collects data from a soil moisture sensor. When the moisture level drops below 50%, a valve opens which allows water to drain from the rain barrel to the garden via the soaker hose. In art class, the girls decorated the rain barrels and even made the mini Shell House enclosure for the arduino system.
