Programs

An Ashley Hall education reflects a thoughtful and developmentally appropriate approach to the teaching and learning process. Our program is designed to meet the needs of the individual student, recognizing and honoring how she learns best. Senior Lawn Wishes and Shell House Dreams

Seventh graders recently got a glimpse of a few senior perks and even indulged in a visit to the coveted Shell House! After Upper School’s first assembly, seniors graciously allowed the newest members of the Upper School to explore Senior Lawn and tour the Shell House, the special historic building reserved as a retreat for seniors only. Traditionally, a non-senior student caught crossing Senior Lawn must bake cookies for the senior class. In addition to building goodwill, the treat gave seventh graders something to look forward to. “I really liked seeing the Shell House,” said Mary Mac Coleman ’25. “It is our one chance to experience what it will one day feel like to be a senior.”
