Set against the backdrop of historic and beautiful Charleston, Ashley Hall’s educational program is shaping the female leaders of the next generation.

⋅ Residing in the Elizabeth Rivers Lewine ’54 House, a renovated historic mansion just across the street from the main campus in the heart of downtown Charleston, Boarding Program students are immersed in the full Ashley Hall experience, a rich blending of a classical education innovated for the 21st century learner and oriented to meeting the intellectual, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of each student in every phase of development. The Boarding Program combines the comfort of living in a home environment with the added dimension of intercultural interactions and dialogues with fellow students. Extra-curricular activities, including athletics and arts opportunities, build a well-rounded girl who values her strengths and confidently accepts challenges.
⋅ Ashley Hall is committed to individualized attention toward and integration of its boarding students with the wider school body. A limited number of Boarding Program students are accepted to the school each year. Members of the Class of 2020 were accepted by 83 of the country’s most prestigious colleges and universities, garnering $2 million in merit scholarships.

Adjacent to Ashley Hall’s campus is the Elizabeth Rivers Lewine ’54 House, the home for our boarding students. The girls live here with a resident family who ensure the student’s experience is fulfilling and productive. Elizabeth Rivers Lewine ’54 House for Global Studies boasts wide breezy porches, a salt water pool, and easy access to downtown Charleston, one of the most charming cities in America.
