Ashley Hall’s Measures to Protect Its Community
Due to precautions taken for COVID-19, Ashley Hall has temporarily closed its campus. Distance learning for all students is in effect through the end of the academic year.
Ashley Hall’s leadership is closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic, which remains a rapidly evolving health situation. The School will continue to follow guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the South Carolina Department of Health.
Distance Learning Program
At Ashley Hall, our core values of individualized learning, student-driven inquiry, and a rich community are the foundation of all we do, including distance learning. From synchronous small group instruction and one-on-one meetings to asynchronous lessons that fit within our families’ schedules, our School knows the importance of helping each student discover what works best. Our distance learning opportunities are specially calibrated to blend a developmentally appropriate amount of on-screen time with activities that foster independence, movement, and success through multiple modes of learning. We partner with families for an education experience based on a traditional foundation enhanced by modern learning.
Ashley Hall Calendar Updates
In accordance with the statewide school closure mandate from South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster, all on-campus events through the end of the school year are either postponed or canceled. Please see below for details on several specific events.
Ashley Hall Alumnae Weekend
Originally scheduled for April 17-19, this year’s Alumnae Weekend has been postponed until next spring. Alumnae are encouraged to save the dates of April 8-10 for a celebration two years in the making.

This will be preceded by a Baccalaureate Service at Grace Church Cathedral on Friday, July 31 at 6:00 p.m., again following national and statewide policies on physical distancing.
