Support Our Mission
At Ashley Hall, we believe that our philanthropic actions communicate who we are and what we believe in on the deepest level. They are an opportunity to harness our passions, to act on our values for the greater good, and to nourish our souls. This value is interwoven into our work with students with the desired outcome of producing young women who are “ethically responsible and prepared to meet the challenges of society,” as our mission clearly states. Fulfilling this mission would not be possible without support from the Ashley Hall Community.
“I donate to the Loyalty Fund to give back to the school that molded me into the woman I am today and to ensure that bright young women will always be able to attend.” – Melaina Clement Pate ’73

By making a gift to the Loyalty Fund, Ashley Hall’s vital annual campaign, your philanthropic actions have immediate impact. Gifts to the Loyalty Fund support the experience of every Ashley Hall girl—every day, providing funding for signature programs that tuition cannot cover. Ashley Hall’s entire community rallies to support the school’s Loyalty Fund. Parents, grandparents, alumnae, parents of alumnae, faculty, staff and friends all give to this initiative.
Developing the full potential of every student at Ashley Hall is possible because of your continued support. Your gift will strengthen every aspect of the Ashley Hall educational experience empowering our girls to become bold leaders, creative doers and global citizens.
Global Studies Program Initiative
Ashley Hall’s hallmark “worldly” is at the forefront of our curriculum today more than ever. To support programmatic initiatives around this, Ashley Hall initiated a fundraising effort to propel the school and its students to meet the challenges of the global world.
A $4 million Global Studies Campaign was created and provides support for:
- Purchase of the Rutledge House for Global Studies at 179 Rutledge Ave
- Renovation of Rutledge House
- Maintenance of the Rutledge House
- Support for professional development and Global Studies curricula
Thanks to our philanthropic community, we have exceeded our $4 million goal and created innovative and sustainable programs ensuring our girls can compete in a global economy. Thank you!

By including Ashley Hall in your estate plans, you ensure that your commitment to the benefits of an Ashley Hall education continues. Estate gifts can be designated to support a donor’s passion at the school, but are most commonly invested to grow the school’s endowment in perpetuity. Ashley Hall’s founder, Mary Vardrine McBee, exemplified and championed the merits found in a life of value-based philanthropy. Today she is the patroness of The McBee Society, an organization of foresighted and generous donors who have included Ashley Hall in their estate plans.
