Faculty from all regions of the country have the opportunity to draw on the experience of colleagues from a variety of fields and backgrounds, while being immersed in the richness of Italian culture, past and present. Many educators have used this tour as a framework to pursue special areas of research after they return, while others have successfully applied for development certification credits as required by their respective state and regional licensing organizations.
