Shira Cohen semifinalist in US Presidential Scholars program

PQV to Shira Cohen who was selected as one of approximately 550 semifinalists to advance to the final round of the US Presidential Scholars program!

Approximately 3,300 students were identified as initial candidates, and then approximately 550 were selected from across the country. Several from Charleston were in the initial round. Below are the remaining SC students:

In April, the White House Commission on Presidential Scholars reviews the applications of all semifinalists, and up to 121 Academic Scholars are chosen. The recipients receive an expense-paid trip to Washington, DC and are awarded a Presidential Scholars Medallion at a ceremony sponsored by the White House.
