On November 29, the Pre-First boys took a special field trip to the Kiawah Island Nature Preserve to meet with naturalist Mike Frees. A study of the swamp had piqued the boys' interest in alligators and all reptiles, and they wanted to learn more and share their knowledge of reptiles with others. They discussed South Carolina's native reptiles and then even got to meet and hold a few exotic species.
