PQV to Sally Walker '10
Sally Walker graduated from Ashley Hall in 2010 and is currently a student at the College of Charleston. During a discussion of the upcoming visit of author Elie Wiesel in her Arts Management class Sally shared that Night was her favorite book and that her teacher at Ashley Hall, Jane Pelland, had required her students to read it. Subsequently, during her AP art class at Ashley Hall with Meyriel Edge, Sally had done a painting of the author because he has what she considers such a beautiful face. She asked if it would be possible to present Mr.Wiesel with the painting. The Dean of Students at the College of Charleston emailed an image of Sally's painting to Wiesel who replied saying that that he would love to meet Sally and he very much wanted the painting. Sally presented the painting to Mr. Wiesel in early October and calls the event one she will never forget.
