On April 21, Honor Flight Lowcountry will take off from
Charleston flying a group of World War II veterans to Washington, DC, to
visit the WWII Memorial, Arlington Cemetery and several other sites. Aboard this year's flight will also be
letters from students at Ashley Hall thanking each of the brave veterans for
their service. Students from Pardue Hall, Lane Hall and Jenkins Hall all came
together to write over 250 letters and cards and 7th grader,
Elizabeth Ouzts, inspired by the will of the veterans and their level of
sacrifice, organized for each veteran to also receive a Purposeful
Hallmark wristband. Ashley Hall dad, David
Neff, who will be flying with the veterans on Sunday, helped to organize Ashley
Hall's participation and picked up the letters from Elizabeth. We wish them all a safe flight!
