Primary Classes in the Ross EEC enjoyed a
visit from Mary Horton with the Charleston Parks Conservancy last week.
The children were fascinated with the worms they found in the AH Community Garden and the recently installed
AH Worm Farm, so Ms. Horton brought
Red Wigglers and Night Crawlers to the classroom for the children to
handle and to explore. The students learned how worms create compost to help
our gardens grow and how worms use their body to taste and feel light and
sound.
