The
Pre-First boys have become very interested in building their own
catapults after they constructed them from blocks during center time. On
Tuesday, April 11, Miss Evans invited her brother, Rivers, a catapult
enthusiast himself, to class to demonstrate how to build a catapult
using popsicle sticks, rubber bands, binder clips, and milk tops. The
boys each made their own catapult and are excited to use them to launch
objects. They have been launching various objects such as: beans,
goldfish (the crackers!), and cheerios and measuring the distance with
measuring tape and yard sticks.
