Private lessons are offered in piano, guitar, and voice through the applied lessons program. Violin, viola, and cello lessons are offered through the Carolina String Academy program.
Lessons are scheduled on a weekly basis and consist of 28 or 30 lessons to be given over the course of the school year.
Both Ashley Hall students and and students from the community are accepted into the program. Adults may also register.
Lessons are scheduled before, during and after school. Individual schedules vary depending on the student's grade and/or schedule and instructor availability.
Ashley Hall students in grades 1-5 may have the option of taking an applied lesson during the school day in lieu of one PE class, or after or before school. Students in grades 6-12 have the option taking an applied lesson during a study hall or after school. Individual schedules are contingent on both the availability of the teacher and the student.
Students are invited to participate in recitals that are scheduled throughout each semester.
